Mandala Crocheted Dishcloths

Posted on September 4, 2016

Mandala crocheted dishcloths are just so pretty. I love how you can use different scraps of yarn to create beautiful designs. I have such a big bag of cotton scraps that I thought this would be the perfect idea to use some of it up. So… I found this easy Mandala pattern and tweaked it just a bit to crochet some dishcloths.

Pattern note: In the pattern when it says to work 2DCtog in the next stitch, it means work 2 DC in the same stitch together. I crocheted all of these items using regular weight cotton with a H (5 mm) crochet work.

I worked one additional row for trim by Sc’g in each stitch and 3 SC in each chain space. My finished size on the dishcloths is 8-1/2 inches wide.

Here is another Mandala I crocheted using the same pattern but I crocheted it into a potholder. For the back I just crocheted a single crochet (SC) pattern in the round and put the wrong sides together and worked one final round of SC around the outside through both layers. I added a recycled plastic water bottle ring for my hanging loop.
