Here is a Barbie baby doll top that I crocheted. I added a pair of my Barbie bloomers to complete the set which makes cute baby doll PJs for Barbie.

This set is designed for a Barbie doll with a 3-1/2″ waist and 5-1/4″ hips. You can just crochet the baby doll top and mix and match it with a skirt or pants to create different outfits for Barbie. You could also make the top longer by repeating Row 11 to crochet a cute Barbie dress.

Crocheted Barbie Baby Doll Top Pattern

G (4 mm) hook and F (3.5 mm) hook for edging
1 oz of fingering or light sport yarn
1 small button or snap for back closure

Ch 22 with G crochet hook.

Row 1
Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea st across. Ch 1, turn. (21 sts and 4-3/4 inches wide)

Row 2-7
Sc in ea st across. Ch 1, turn. (21)
(1-1/2 inches long at row 7.)

Row 8
Sc in 1st st *Ch 1, Sk 1 sts, Sc in next st*. Repeat between * and join with Sl st to 1st st of row to form a circle. Work in rounds from this point on without turning.

Row 9
Ch 2, work 2 Hdc in same sp between joining (space between the joining). Work 3 Hdc in ea Ch-1 sp around. Join with Sl St to beg Ch-2. (12-Hdc shells)

Row 10
Ch 3, Dc, Ch 1, 2 Dc in sm sp between shell (3-Hdc’s of prior row). Then 2 Dc, Ch 1, 2 Dc in each sp between shells around. End with Sl St to beg Ch-3.

Row 11-14
Sl St to Ch-1 sp, Ch 3, Dc, Ch 1, 2 Dc in Ch-1 space. Continue working Dc shells (2 Dc, Ch 1, 2 Dc), in each Ch-1 sp around. Join to top of beg Ch-3 at end of round.

Straps:
Row 1
Count over 7 sts from right side edge and attach yarn to start right side strap. Sc in sm st where you attached yarn and in next st, Ch 1, turn. (2 sts)

Row 2-7
Sc in the 2 sts. Ch 1, turn. (Strap should be about 1-1/8 inches long at end of row 7.)
Leave 3″ long tail to weave strap to back.

Attach strap to back matching to the top side edge at back.

Repeat strap for the other side making sure the straps match each other on placement.

Edging: Use F crochet hook and attach yarn at back left bottom opening, Sc evenly up the left side edge and around the inside of shoulder straps, around neck and back down to the bottom of the other side’s opening edge. Sl St to beg Sc. FO.

Attach yarn at lower hem back edge and Sc in ea st and space around bottom edge of top. Join with Sl St to 1st Sc. FO.

Attach yarn at inside lower edge on the armhole opening, Sc around evenly around the armhole. Join with Sl St to beg Sc. Finish off. Repeat for the other armhole.

Sew button or snap on left at back as shown. Use a stitch on right side for buttonhole.
