Helper for Opening Jars

A friend was having trouble opening water bottles and other things due to problems with her hands. She needed a little help and these jar helpers are just the trick. Here are a few quick jar helper openers I crocheted. I gave her these two so she could carry one in her purse and keep another at home for use as needed.

These jar opener helpers are very quick and easy to crochet. It only takes about a half ounce of cotton yarn and the mesh to create. The free crochet jar helper pattern is found here.

Voyages Hat

Voyages Crocheted Hat

I crocheted a few hats using the Voyages hat pattern. First I used the pattern as written to crochet this hat with a H (5 mm) crochet hook. As several people have mentioned, the hat is a bit small which is why I used a bigger hook. My finished size was 7 inches long by 20″ cir following the ladies size pattern directions. Next I wanted to modify the pattern to crochet a child’s size hat in just two colors. My mods are as follows:
