Crocheted Kitchen Towel

Posted on September 10, 2026

I love crocheted kitchen items and have had this crochet towel on my to-do list for 3 years. So I finally got around to crocheting it last month. I present the Totally Utilitarian Dishtowel. Here is the link to the free pattern on Ravelry.

I only crocheted 56 rows as ran short of Sugar’n Cream in colorway 178 Potpourri cotton yarn. I added two finishing rows in colorway 28 Delft blue cotton with a ring for hanging.

My kitchen towel doesn’t lay very flat. But I guess it really doesn’t matter as it hangs from a hook in my kitchen. My finished size is 13 x 13 inches square.

Overall a nice pattern that is easy to crochet and makes a heavy and durable towel.
