Time to Celebrate!
July 24, 2008 will be a date I will always remember. It is the day I finished my chemo treatments for breast cancer. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing that I don’t have to have any more infusions of that nasty stuff. So I say hallelujah, yahoo, yipppeee, and thank God for giving me the strength to get through it.
This is also my 100th post of my blog. I can’t believe I’ve made that many posts already. I’ve shared over 60 free patterns for recycled craft projects ranging from tote bags to baby bibs, wheelchair bags to scrubbie dishcloths, and lunch sacks to water bottle holders. Also in these last posts, I shared with you about “my pink journey” with cancer.
Needless to say, it’s time to celebrate. So let the celebration begin! If you drop by for a visit, please leave me a celebration comment.

Hi Cindy,
I was on vacation last week so missed a couple of blogs maybe. I hope you are feeling well and that you know how very many people have been blessed by your blogs, your patterns, and the sharing of your struggles. This is the best the Internet has to offer. Caring, compassionate strangers coming together to life each other in thought and prayer. Keep on keeping on and may God bless you and all those who have been praying for you!
Jul 31, 2008
Congratulations on the completion of your treatment! Your blog has been an inspiration not only for crafting (my husband giggles every time I say plarn) but for life as well! May many more blessings flow into your life!

Thank you so much for your informative and beautiful blog. And congratulations on completing your treatments! You are a blessing to the world 🙂 I’ve been a lurker for a little while (got here via Craft Magazine’s RSS feed), and I really appreciate your writing about your projects.

YAY!!! And when you say that you will remember that date, you will. Mine was July 1st 2004. I am so happy that you are past this past of all of the cancer crap. A milestone, indeed! But keep in mind that you now carry the Chemo Brain Card and are allowed to use it for the rest of your life. It’s been four years and I still pull out the card now and again. We have earned it. I am so happy for you!
Jul 31, 2008
woohoo! Congrats and congrats! So glad you are done with the chemo – hopefully forever!

… and this is a celebration comment from Switzerland. I enjoy your website (wow 100 posts already and I read them all!). I have crocheted also (with your instructions) some bags to recycle the few plastic bags that I try to avoid taking with me but sometimes I have no choice. But then they will be part of new products (mainly bags). Keep thumbs up and enjoy every day of life!

I have made a few things from re-cycled bags in the past, but it’s lovely to have this site to reference and get amazing ideas from. Thanks so much for it!

I found your site when Googling for more patterns to add to my latest post about recycling plastic bags. My mom already crochets totes, hats, and purses, but I’m going to share your link because she is always looking for new things to try!
Thanks for sharing all of these wonderful patterns & best wishes to you on your last bout of Chemo. May it truly be your last & may you continue on to a long healthy life!

Cindy, I’ve been a remiss blog reader since moving home in January – I didn’t realize you were diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m so happy to see you’re doing well and have got through chemo. I have so many friends and family that have had breast cancer that I’m hosting a fundraiser in Sept. in our local village here in the UK for a cancer support charity. I’ll be thinking of you – best wishes!
P.S. Hope your crafting has helped you through, it sure inspires the rest of us!

Good for you! May you heal well and quickly.
And thank you for sharing your patterns.
