Crocheted Mini Christmas Socks

Posted on August 6, 2014

I’ve been busy crocheting more mini Christmas socks for the Warmth for Warrior stocking drive. I have been involved in the campaign to make little Christmas stockings for the troops which are filled with small items for our troops for several years now. As you can see below, I have crocheted these mainly using yarn but in the center you will see that I have a recycled denim and plastic bag “plarn” socks too. It’s fun to mix and match the yarns and materials to make the stockings each year.

I mainly use this little Christmas stocking pattern to crochet the socks with just a few changes. I crochet the stockings to 6 inches so I decrease the number of rounds in the original crochet sock pattern by Le monde de Sucrette.

If you are looking for the pattern details on the recycled denim stocking you will find it here. As for the plastic bag or plarn sock above, I improvised and used Sucrette’s pattern to crochet this little recycled stocking.

If anyone out there would like to participate in making Christmas stockings for the troops, you can find more information about the 2014 Mini Christmas Stocking Drive by clicking on this link. We’d love more people to crochet, knit and craft homemade Christmas stockings for the troops so they can be given away as a small Thank You gift to our soldiers serving overseas.

I hope you will join me and others in support of Warmth for Warriors this year.

Your idea of recycling DENIM is good. Previously I was not known about the knitting patterns that how to do the task. But this time I am also going to knit some beautiful Mini Christmas Socks too.
