Bar Towel Toppers

October 6, 2019 No comments yet

Here are several Dollar Store bar towels that I have added towel toppers to. I love the thick and absorbent towels but they are a odd width to do a normal double-layer crocheted towel topper. I tried this first one where I didn’t fold over the towel and just crocheted the towel topper along the top edge. It makes for a longer kitchen towel and not sure if I like it or not. This towel topper was crocheted using the waffle towel topper pattern.

Next I folded the towel in half lengthwise. I then added a crocheted towel topper through both layers with the fold on the left hand side. This created a nice thick double layered towel but again I’m not sure about the foldline being on the side.

Here is a closeup of the crocheted towel topper which was created using the pointed handle towel topper pattern.

So what do you think about these Dollar Store bar towel projects? I’d love to hear people’s thoughts and

Double Layered Waffle Towel Topper Pattern

June 14, 2015 8 comments

I crocheted another double layered towel topper which is similar to my pointed handle towel topper. The main difference in this towel topper is that it’s a heavier, more basic pattern for the topper. It has a waffle looking texture to the pattern and so I named it the Waffle Towel Topper pattern.

This towel topper is crocheted using sugar n’cream weight cotton yarn with a G crochet hook. I used a kitchen towel folded in half that requires no cutting or sewing. For more details on how to fold and start a double layered towel topper, see this tutorial link with pictures on how to begin the towel topper.

Diagonal Cotton Dish Towel with Ring

I present my diagonal cotton dish towel that I crocheted that features a ring as a hanger. I love using the round recycled rings as I can hang up my towel over any hook or knob in the kitchen. I crocheted one kitchen towel using regular weight cotton and another using sport weight cotton below.
